Big Girl.

Augi had her 5 year well child check up today. Funny, it looks like it was the same day as cousin Evie's 2 month check up! Right down the middle for all her growth--perfect!

She had to get 4 shots. That was 4 needles. In her little thighs. She cried very hard, but she didn't move a bit. She took a rare nap after all the trauma.

As a reward for her bravery, she and Emmett got a "movie night." We don't do much t.v. at our house, so getting to watch a movie is quite a treat. We love to pile the blankets and pillows in the living room, get out the stuffed lovies, and all sit down to enjoy a movie. They even get to eat their dinner in the living room. She has been milking her pain all evening, and finally fell asleep exhausted from her day.

Last Stop: Scarborough

This place was just a fluke. We needed a place to spend the night between Edinburgh and home. So, I just picked a place along the coast that looked nice and found a hotel. It ended up being a great end to our trip. The hotel was clean. The furniture was real and comfortable. The pool was nice. The food was good. The beach was beautiful. The weather was nice. The kids got to dig in the sand. Chris got to ride a pirate ship. Perfect.

The School of Witchcraft and Wizardry...

Hogwarts? NO! This is Alnwick. OK, this is the castle that was used for some of the filming. Very cool place on the eastern coast. We saw some wizards, the kids got to make their own soap, they had a special dragon quest set up for the kids, and the scenery was fab.
