Bye Bye Stella.

Poor Stella Bunny. Yesterday Chris called me at work to tell me that Stella had been killed by a wild animal. It is all very sad. She was in her hutch with Bobo, but somehow she got out and she was mostly eaten by something. There are large tracks all over the yard. It breaks my heart to think of her running for her little life before being eaten by something. We told Augi she died, but we explained it as Bunny Fever. She will never go into our back yard again if she thinks it was a coyote (Chris' theory) or cougar (my theory). Thank you to Chris for not letting me see it in the morning. I get terribly attached to my furry creatures. Augi cried a lot and she was concerned about what it means to be dead. She was content with the cycle of life explanation we gave her, though. She wanted Bobo in the house last night and she combed his hair and gave him treats. She told me, "I know I gave Stella a good life, mommy." She has a big heart.
