Em: Mom, I know that boys who marry boys are called gay. But, what are girls who marry girls?
Me: Lesbians. Why do you ask?
Em: Well, E. wants to marry S. and they are both girls. They are lesbians.
Me: (oh great...now I am going to get a call from his teacher...) Do you think you will marry a boy or a girl?
Em: Hmmmm. Probably a girl. But she BETTER like underwater robots!!!
This is going to be told at his wedding.
Pukiki=Hawaiian word for Portuguese. My kids are just a bit Pukiki..and this WeBLOG is dedicated to them! We hope our friends and family will enjoy reading about Augi, Em, Phiz, and Tiki as we make this life into an adventure.

Poetry by Augi
My big monster
By augi
My
monster is big,
And
he looks like a pig,
He
likes to do the jig,
But
he wears a wig,
And
eats a fig,
On
a twig,
he
puts cheese,
On
the keys.
he
has a pet mouse,
That
lives in his big toy house,
In
winter ,
He
takes out his small printer,
But
he always gets a splinter,
He
cant talk,
But
he can walk,
My
monster has a pet dove,
And
he gives him so much love,
And
he knows how to sew,
A
bow,
That
looks like a toe.

Phiz is 1!
My little Phizzer Whizzer is finally 1! I like one much better than brand new puppy.
Phiz as a puppy: Tazmanian Devil.
Phiz as a one year old: see for yourself...
Augi's birthday sleepover.
It should be called a not-sleep-over instead. 8 girls for an 8 year old party. Ya, I've gone completely bonkers.
They laughed.
They gossiped.
They argued.
They played games.
They began falling asleep around 11 (Augi).
They were all asleep by 2.
Even Em and Phiz were allowed to participate.
Nine for Nine next year? I don't think so.
First Day of School 2013
Another first day of school!
Augi has started Year 4. Her teacher is adorable...and AMERICAN! Woo-woo! Augi would like to keep our citizenship status on the down-low, though. She gets mad at me when I speak and let people know we are Americans. Goofy kid. It is hard to be different, I guess.
Emmett is too grown up. They have DESKS in his Year 1 class. I still haven't worked out who he sits next to. I am not allowed to ask. Not only did he start school this week, he has slept in his own bed for 5 nights in a row.
I am WAY more sad than he is. He was just waiting to sleep on his own until he knew I was ready. I'll be alright. *sniff*

Utah 2013: Last Pics and Last Thoughts.
Nearly finished. If you have survived all of these posts, you will earn a prize. Not really. You get nothin'.
Visiting at the Singleton's. This is what we miss the most. Not going to amusement parks, shopping, and restaurants. Just hanging out with our loved ones. I miss you all already.
What a fun time we had. It was an exhausting, emotional trip. I wanted to stay and I wanted to run home to England at the same time. I wish I had gotten the chance to see every person on my list. I wish I'd gotten more pictures of everyone...
We won't go nearly 3 years without visiting next time!

Utah 2013: Augi's pictures part two
Backyard party, continued...
Goofballs.
Back down south to hang out with
Grandpa Augustine
and look at old pictures...
and draw zombies and devils (Emmett)
then we got dressed up for family pictures and played at the playground afterwards...
We returned to the Baldwin's for a day of lemonade stands, sleepovers, and fun. Annie is freakishly flexible...
We got shaved ice. Yummy!
Daddy snuggled Dexter each morning.
We went to the zoo on Augi's birthday
cooling off...
We went back to the Barn N' Grill for a birthday bash
We got to spend some time with our favorite neighbor...Dave!
The kids were itching to go to the
Treehouse Museum.
We changed focus from literature to science at the Leonardo Museum!
We got to visit with long time friends: The O'Brays!
