Halloween, English Style

Happy Halloween! This was our first Halloween in England. Actually it was no different than Halloween in America. It isn't quite over yet, though. Maybe something will happen in the next few minutes. It is ILLEGAL for children over the age of 12 to trick or treat.
We started the weekend with a Trunk or Treat celebration on base. It was fun for the kids and most of all fun to hang with our friends...
We found a last minute SuperEm costume. He has been wearing it for two days now. Seriously. Sleeping in it and wearing it all day. Sometimes he says he is Superman, and sometimes it is Buzz Lightyear. Either way, he is a superhero. Favorite phrase? To Infinity and Beyond! Superman can say that, right?
SuperEm and BatFinn...BFFs. Unless there is a favorite toy truck involved.
Then the fight is on.
Augi went for a very girlie Alice in Wonderland theme. She makes a perfect Alice.
I love Ava's costume...she is an apple tree! So cute. Getting the 4 children to all look at the camera at once was like herding cats. Therefore, this is the best we got.
Alice showing off some Halloween art.
Em was thrilled to get a chocolate eyeball. Anything to creep out his Mama.

Daddy's favorite view.
 SuperEm in action...
Finn is so studious here. Play is serious work.
Daddy's creation. It was a potluck. I think it is supposed to be a skull.
So, that was Part One. For Part two we joined Augi's classmate Bellsie and her family for some local Trick-or-Treating.
Augi and another classmate, Mia...

 Witchy Mama and SuperEm.
Em and Bellsie anxiously awaiting some sweeties. Em made a killing on the candy. He was the littlest in the group and didn't always push his way to the door. By the end of the night he had 3 of the girls getting candy for him at each house!
So, Halloween is over. This week we will pack, next week we move, then off to the Azores.

oh... what fun!! all of the kids looked darling!! augi IS the perfect little alice, and an apple tree? darling. so, no trunk or treating at the mormon church? did you opt out of that? i paid tanner a quarter for every piece of candy he would give me. he scored $7 (i opted for this instead of the halloween fairy, mainly because i didn't have time to run to target, but i knew he'd love some cash).

i'll be thinking of you this next week with all your happenings and truly wishing i could be there to help (or go with you) hehe.

we love you guys!! :) s & co.
