Then, today, Dayton was over to play. I went against my better judgement and got out the paints. Really, it was fine. They were both so well behaved and the paintings were beautiful. Maybe not Monet, but definitely Pollack worthy. You know, I have wondered how many times someone has looked at Jackson Pollack's art and said, "Well, I could splatter paint around and make that." But really, we never do it. So maybe he did have something there...
Then, tonight we went to the Davis County Fair. It was great. Augi got to ride a real pony and the look of joy on her face made waiting in line totally worth it. She loved the boat ride and train. She wasn't so thrilled with the airplane ride. Dayton is a daredevil and loved all of it!

Looks like you're having all kinds of fun! I didn't know people with Phd's could have fun. (Totally KIDDING!!! We need smart people around to balance the rest of us. Besides, you're different, you're PhD is in an area where you actually deal with people. The PhD's that interact solely with metals....they're a breed all their own.)

The pictures of them painting is so beautiful! The fair was quite fun! We sure had a blast. Munch has been talking about it all day. Be he just realized that the airplanes didn't have any wings and he's been concerned with that ALL day!
that looks fun, especially the pony ride, that smile is definitely worth standing in line and smelling all the animal poo.
i like Augi and Dayton painting too. i have always liked Jackson Pollack, so go figure. ? i still say children's artwork is WAY better, though.
oh, also, how was the frog exhibit? the library partnered with them this summer and we've had frogs and toads (and salamanders!) at all of the libraries. want any toads? i'm still trying ot get rid of two...they're pretty cute...:)
