Wrastlin' with her BFF

We visited Addie today. Augi and Addie were fighting over a pair of shoes. Or maybe a boy. In the end, their friendship prevailed.

November is Over!

She is such a spaz.

Playing with cousins on Thanksgiving

Posing next to the Christmas Tree box. She made me put it up already!!

It has been nearly a month! I have been so incredibly sick that I haven't had one ounce of motivation to update this blog. Lifting my arm is work. But, I am feeling a thousand times better. I have regular moments of sickness. And, don't let me get hungry. Tears and claws will both come out. You might want to keep Nutter Butters in your pocket if you are near me--just in case I get a little hungry.

I don't have a whole lot to say today. Augi has some great new phrases. She is fully weaned now. Yes, I know, it is about time. But, it wasn't easy. We weren't ready. Well, I was. She wasn't. For a week or so she didn't want me near her at night because she was so mad at me. She would say, "go away mommy!" Now, she is better. She likes to cuddle again.

My favorite Augi-ism is, "Stopping talking at me!" The other night I called to her when she cried out. She told me to stopping talking at her. A few minutes later I called out again and asked if she was ok. She said, "No! You aren't stopping talking at me!!" Apparently I just needed to shut up and let her fuss! Geez.

Happy Happy Halloween

Halloween just wouldn't be fun without cousins!

Grandma Farr at AppleTree, visit #1

Tanner (aka "Super Why") and Augi

Augi, Libby, and Olivia. Augi was trying to flee the area. Olivia is just a few weeks older than Augi. Augi calls Libby her little sister.

Mall Rat

These pictures are a little out of order, but you get the idea. Today was so freakin' busy, I'm glad it is over. We started out at 9:00 AM at my work, then to musikgarten, Appletree with the Baldwin family and practically their whole neighborhood. (Augi has this life away from us that I am just becoming aware of. I met all her little neighbor friends. But, they aren't our neighbor friends. They are Tanner and Libby's neighbor friends. Weird.). Then, home for a nap. After a short nap, it was lunch and play at home for a while. Then, out to the bank, to the mall, back to Appletree to see Grandma Farr, and last of all trick or treatin' at Grandma Mee-mee's. 12 hours later, we were home. Whew. Augi fell asleep quickly after a screaming kicking fit. Poor thing. Comin' down off the sugar can be brutal.

Grandma's Birthday

Augi was thrilled to hold "Baby In-ya" last night. Funny, I think India weighs as much as Augi and she crawls now. So, it wasn't easy, but we got a few cute shots. Augi lived in her feety jammies this weekend. We played hooky from work/daycare today. Augi woke up at 4 am with a tummy ache-I think it was the chocolate birthday cake. We didn't get back to sleep until just before I had to get up for work. I was tired and I feel like crap with this cold, tummy troubles, and morning sickness. So, I called in. We stayed in bed until 10. Now, Augi is having a super late nap. She won't be to bed until 9, I bet. Ug. I need a nanny.

Hi!

OK. Simmer down. I am writing again. Even Grandpa Albert is complaining. This little picture is a self-portrait with the timer on my camera. Squig and I had a mommy daughter day at the zoo on Sunday. It was fun. She freakin' loves the train. I have been avoiding posting for a few reasons--first of all I have been really busy filling in at the Health Department. I am also starting a support group for parents of kiddos with autism on Saturday. And, for those of you who already know, I have been very sick with the Egyptian flu. You know, the one that makes you sick for 9 months, then you turn into a mummy. Ha ha. For those of you that didn't know, (you know who you are in Greeley, Denver, and Spearfish), if you don't call me back I can't tell you the news.

Now you know.

I was feeling really crampy this week, so I saw my o.b. She said I am just crampy, and she showed me the heart beat on ultrasound. That was a good feeling, sort of. I would have liked her to give me a little pill that would make all of the nausea and bloating and back pain and cramping go away. She didn't.

I took Augi to the pediatrician yesterday for some issues she was having. No problem with her either. Apparently I am a hypochondriac. Oh brother.

As for more updates, I dont' have much right now. Enjoy the pics. They speak for themselves.

Painting Pumpkins Purple

Augi picked out a cute pumpkin last night and couldn't wait to paint it her favorite color: PURPLE!
This kid loves purple. She says, "I like purple." and has a complete meltdown if someone else says they also like purple--because purple is HER color. So, I have to like pink or brown or whatever. Never purple.
Life is crazy right now for me. I am considering a new job and I have my first private practice client next week. I wish I had a crystal ball to tell me which choice to make with the jobs. OOOOOO--maybe I should go to a psychic. Psychics always know the answers.

Antelope Island

Last weekend we went to Antelope Island with Kaisy and Kaedyn. They had lots of fun, but it was really windy and started raining, so we didn't stay long. They got to see several buffalo, so that was exciting. Maybe I shouldn't disclose this...but when I was a child I though Captain Kangaroo was filmed on Antelope Island. Who knows where I got that idea!

Updates

Every once in a while Augi stops to allow the papparazzi to take a quick picture. Life is hard for a little diva.

There always seems to be something fun happening for us. We used our Wednesday fun day to spend some quality time with the cousins.

Don't we all have a picture in front of the big stretched out gorilla? Augi was trying to show Zion how to stand by it. So, he folded his arms. Little stinker.

Chris took these cute pics of Augi playing in the yard with Bobo. Yes, Bobo was the name of our original boy bunny. I tried to name this little guy Ziggy. Augi would have none of that. So, this is Bobo the second. He is a sweet little guy. We have been letting him run around the yard. He loves Augi and runs up to her every few minutes to sniff her.

Take note of the jammies Augi is wearing. She now wears these ALL the time. She wants to be a "teeny baby." Well, I wanted her to wear some warmer jammies last week, so I told her these were the jammies she wore when she was a teeny baby. My punishment for lying to her? She has had several HUGE tantrums over changing out of her jammies. Damn. Now what do I do? They are all stretched out and dirty. She lets Sarah change her into her regular clothes, but not me.

Happy Summer Ending...

Summer isn't really over, but going back to work makes it feel as if it is. As I looked at these pictures today, I started to feel sad. This summer went by so quickly. Augi is growing. She uses real words and full sentences. It is hard to say goodbye to my little baby, even if the little girl she is becoming is wonderful. The other night I was really frustrated with her because she wouldn't go to sleep. Then, I realized that I am not going to get to hold her forever, so I should enjoy the nights when she just wants to lie in my arms and chatter, even if it takes two hours!
Augi loves Sara, Tanner, and baby Libby. I am happy with the new daycare situation. I miss her during the day, but I feel so much more satisfied at the end of the day when I work. I can appreciate all of the moments I have with her. Waiting for the train at the zoo.
We spend most of our time at the zoo playground.
The little cheeser.
The famous Hogle Zoo lion.

Nooshy.

Dayton, Augi (aka "Augz"), Nanny and I walked to the playground today. Nanny chilled in the wagon while the kids played. I haven't posted many pictures of her, but I thought this was cute. I start back to work tomorrow. That means getting up at 6 am and getting myself and Augi out of the house by 7. Ugg. We were going to start practicing 2 weeks ago. Well, the alarm went off every day at 6, I hit snooze, and we went back to sleep til 8. So, here we are, back to work and no practice. Augi did go to sleep by 8, so hopefully she will be able to wake up easily. Chris and I are watching a movie with Cameron Diaz acting very poorly. I am swearing I will be to sleep by 1030. We'll see.
My grandfather's funeral was yesterday. I am glad it is over. I will miss him.

Sad News.

I just received word today that Augi's great grandparents have passed away. My grandfather died two days ago and my grandmother passed away in May. It is very sad. I haven't stayed close to my family, so nobody remembered to call in May. It doesn't really make a difference to know now or in May. Either way, I have lots of regrets. I hadn't seen them in three years or so. My grandfather used to call weekly, until last year when he was put in the nursing home with my grandmother. I couldn't go visit them until this summer because Augi couldn't tolerate a long car ride. We planned to go this summer, but never got around to it. In fact, Chris was just thinking about it this morning, trying to come up with a plan. The drive was only 3 1/2 hours, but that seems like forever and becomes 5 hours with a little person. Anyway, I have lots of guilt for not visiting them more often. They were an important part of my life and a big influence on who I am. I am sorry Augi did not get to meet them.

Fun Fun Fun

We have had a really exciting couple of days. First, we went to the frog exhibit at the Natural History Museum. I loved seeing all of the cool frogs. Augi was a little frightened, especially by the one frog who climbed all over the glass. She did enjoy lunch at the park with Chiana and Julia, though.

Then, today, Dayton was over to play. I went against my better judgement and got out the paints. Really, it was fine. They were both so well behaved and the paintings were beautiful. Maybe not Monet, but definitely Pollack worthy. You know, I have wondered how many times someone has looked at Jackson Pollack's art and said, "Well, I could splatter paint around and make that." But really, we never do it. So maybe he did have something there...

Then, tonight we went to the Davis County Fair. It was great. Augi got to ride a real pony and the look of joy on her face made waiting in line totally worth it. She loved the boat ride and train. She wasn't so thrilled with the airplane ride. Dayton is a daredevil and loved all of it!

Take my picture

Augi asked me to take her picture, well, she demanded that I take her picture today. She struck a pose as soon as I got out the camera. We are enjoying our last week of summer vacation before work and daycare begins. I am really nervous about Augi going to daycare. I know Sara is wonderful, but I worry that Augi will feel sad all day long. What if I feel sad all day long? Hopefully she will adjust, and so will I. I really do love working. The time away is good for both of us. We will have a trial run this week for a few hours.
We are watching home videos right now. Augi gets so excited to see herself as a "teeny baby." She has been talking about having a baby in her tummy. Very cute.
Augi is just getting over some wierd virus. She had three days of a high fever and some tummy trouble. She is enjoying being terrible now that she is two. I think she knows everything is about to change with summer ending. So, she wants nothing to do with her daddy and she is super clingy with me. I have to enjoy the cuddles when I can get them, but sometimes it is overwhelming, like when I have to carry her and her doll and her drink outside just to take the garbage out. Honestly, I love every minute of it. She will never be two again.
